Life-Long Learning Resources
> Family Literacy Kits - Brightly colored backpacks contain a book, DVD, and an activity sheet - sometimes in a second language - for children up to first grade.
> Home Schooling Resources - Offering Core Knowledge Sequence Content Guidelines for K-8, Text Resources, Grace Abounding, The Complete Home Learning Source Book, Delta Education series, Ace Math, By the Numbers DVD series, and much more for home learning for children.
> The Great Courses - This library edition offers courses on CD or DVD, all taught by distinguished professors at colleges and universities around the country.

Online Tutor Available
Get online tutoring and career help for free. Certified, professional tutors and resources are available 24/7 for all subjects and all levels - K-12 students, college students and adult learners. Tutors only work with one student at a time. And it's a safe, secure place to learn.

This program is provided by the Department of Defense. Authorized users are active duty military and their dependents, deployed status Reservists and their dependents, deployed status National Guard and their dependents, and deployed status civilians and their dependents. Authorized users need to sign up at the base library (one person per personal e-mail address - cannot use a military e-mail address). Once the library staff registers you, www.tutor.com/airforce will send you a confirmation and you can begin using the site. To learn more, call the library at 556-7462 or stop by in person.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Materials not owned by the library may be borrowed from other libraries. To request an ILL, ask for the ILL forms at the circulation desk.

Programs
Children's story times are offered Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m.
Summer Reading Programs run in June and July.

All workstations - First come, First served. No time limits except when a wait list develops - then one hour sessions are imposed while wait list exists. All customers MUST sign in at Circulation Desk. Peterson AFB Library is not responsible for material on the Internet. We do have a filter on all commercial Internet workstations. However, accessing inappropriate web sites may result in privileges being revoked, suspended, revoked, and/or possible legal action.
