Air Force Club Membership Scholarship Program Every spring, contestants write an essay on a specified topic and submit their package to manager of The Club at Peterson AFB by a designated date. This Club Membership Scholarship Program is a benefit of club membership and is open to current Air Force Club members and their family members. Wine Fest  A sophisticated - but not stuffy - evening blending fine wine and fine art. This popular wine tasting showcases red and whites from different regions and pairs them with savory hors d'oeuvres, live music and dancing to give this night a real kick. Cheers!Date: Traditionally the Friday before Thanksgiving Time: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Price range: $8 to $10 Attire: Dressy to casual (jeans permitted) Reservations: 574-4100 Bingo Bonanza A variety of games including progressives and a new jackpot game worth $3,000! Bar and food menus available. Date: Monday (moved to Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) Time: Early birds at 6 p.m.; regular session at 6:30 p.m. Price range: Attire: Relaxed casual (jeans permitted) Information: 556-4181 Breakfast with Santa Kids get to meet the Man. You know - tall guy, red suit, white beard, and black boots. Event includes breakfast, balloon artist, magician, cookie decorating, photos with Santa, and more. A must-do for the holiday season. Date: Traditionally the Saturday after Thanksgiving Time: 8-11 a.m. Price range: $5 - $7 Note: Tickets sold in advance ONLY! Attire: Relaxed casual (jeans for adults and jammies for kids permitted) Reservations: 574-4100 Hog Wild Night  Motorcycle madness gone wild! Enjoy a thunderous motorcycle convoy ride onto base, safety briefings, live music, information fair, and prizes for best chrome, paint, custom, stock and overall crowd favorite. The nasty menu will include exotic game such as alligator, wild boar, rattlesnake, venison and more.Date: Mid-July Time: 4:30 to 9 p.m. Price range: $7 - $10 Attire: Black leather, jeans, muscle shirts encouraged Pre-registration for participants: 574-4100 Home Brew Fest  In the past, guests have sampled more than150 tasty different finely crafted brews at The Club's 4th Annual Home Brew Fest. In this annual event, home brew aficionados compete in different categories along with local and regional micro-breweries. All entries are judged, and prizes are awarded in each category. Guests get to sample great suds and learn about home brewing, and enjoy good food and live music. The first 200 guests receive a commemorative beer glass. Date: Traditionally in February Time: 5:30 to 10 p.m. Price range: $9 to $12 Attire: Relaxed casual (jeans permitted) Pre-registration for home brewers: 574-4100. Kids Night Out  An exciting event for children held each quarter. Different themes - Sponge Bob, Shrek, Star Wars, Pirates and Princesses, and others - offer kids a chance to dress up, play imaginative games, eat unusual themed buffets, win prizes, and go home feeling special.Date: Quarterly on Friday evening Time: 5:30 to 8 p.m. Price range: $4 - $7 Attire: Costumes encouraged Reservations: 574-4100 Live Maine Lobster Night A savory 1 1/4 pound lobster from Maine served with your choice of baked potato or rice pilaf, vegetable medley, salad bar, and freshly baked rolls. Date: Scheduled monthly April through October on a Friday night Time: 6 to 8 p.m. Price range: $23.95, $20.95 members Reservations required by the Tuesday before: 574-4100. New Year's Eve Gala Stand on the threshold between two years - the old and the new. Celebrate in fine style with exquisite cuisine, live music, dancing ... and then a champagne toast, breakfast and maybe one last dance. Date: December 31 Time: 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Price range: $45 Attire: Semi formal and formal Reservations: 574-4100 Stripes Pub  Sure, Stripes Pub is a place. But it's a HAPPENING place! Watch sports and specially televised sporting events like the Ultimate Fighting Challenge. Play games on its Wii system. Or shoot a game of pool. The pub menu offers a nice alternative to lunch and evening dining. And for your discriminating palate, Stripes offers a selection of 99 exotic beers from all over the world. Enjoy smoked brisket, chili, bratwurst, fried chicken, baked beans, fried potatoes, potato salad, and green salad at half time.
